Terms of Service

By creating an account or using HomeBase Community Hub (“HomeBase,” “we,” “our”), you agree to these Terms of Service. HomeBase is built and operated by DGZ Studios. Each HomeBase community is an independent, resident-run platform and is not affiliated with, operated by, or endorsed by any school district, municipality, township, county, or public agency it lists information about, unless a formal partnership is explicitly stated.

Eligibility & real identities

HomeBase is designed for real people, not anonymous accounts. You must be at least 18 years old to use HomeBase, and you agree to represent yourself accurately.

Residency verification

To post, comment, or list marketplace items in a community, you must verify that you are physically present there at the moment you request access — checked via a one-time device location fix, never tracked on an ongoing basis. Attempting to falsify or spoof your location to gain access you're not entitled to violates these Terms and may result in account suspension.

Your content

• You're responsible for what you post. Content must be your own, truthful to the best of your knowledge, and lawful.
• You retain ownership of what you post, but grant HomeBase a license to display it to your community as part of operating the service.
• We may remove content, or suspend or terminate accounts, that violate these Terms, local law, or basic standards of civility — including harassment, hate speech, spam, fraud, impersonation, or content that endangers others.

Official content

Content labeled “Official” is gathered from public pages published by government, school, and public-safety sources, and always links back to its original source. HomeBase does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of official content — always confirm anything time-sensitive or safety-related directly with the original source.

Marketplace & local business

Marketplace listings are between residents directly. HomeBase is not a party to, and does not guarantee, any transaction between users. Sponsored posts and business pages are always clearly labeled — sponsorship never changes what a business is allowed to claim about itself.

No warranty

HomeBase is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep the service reliable and content accurate, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free content.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DGZ Studios is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of HomeBase, including disputes between users or reliance on any content — official or resident-authored — found on the platform.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of HomeBase after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
